Managed manufacturing staff development, systems implementation, cost controls, production planning and scheduling, logistics, procurement, and day-to-day operations. Served as Internal Consultant in the development of initial migration strategies, process innovations, and fail-safe infrastructures for Greenfield operations and Chairman of the procurement task force for global operations.

  • Successful start-up of five Greenfield sites in the United States, Europe, and Mexico

  • Developed strategic change models for diversified manufacturing and service operations 

  • Led the decentralization and reengineering efforts for the Johnson and Evinrude Outboard Motor Businesses, Manufacturing and Assembly Operations

  • Developed Just-in-Time production processes utilizing Kanban pull methodologies to produce 800 Outboard Motors daily, while maintaining a three-day inventory level (parts and WIP).

  • Integration business units that manufactured and assembled 3,000 Lawnboy Lawn-Mower products and accessories daily 

  • Utilized paced production lines and automated testing facilities to achieve a 30-second cycle time per workstation, significantly improving operating efficiencies and overall productivity

  • Set the corporate benchmark by improving inventory turn rates from traditional 12 to 45 times over a 12-month period

  • Lean transformation efforts and accomplishments highlighted in national industry publications and celebrated as best business practices
